Klaassen Motorsport has been in the paddock since 1998. It is still run by the two people who answer the phone.
Who we are
Third generation, since 1998
David is the third generation born and bred into the karting world. He started Klaassen Motorsport in 1998, and the team is run by husband and wife, David and Ashley.
The team has seen numerous success stories since 1998: 17 ‘O’ Plates, 6 British Kart Champions, and a Kart Masters GP Plate victory.
None of that is the reason to call us, though. The reason to call us is that the same two people who stood on those podiums are the ones who will look at your kart on a wet Saturday in a car park at the far end of the paddock.

Novice or champion, there is space
With the list of success stories ever growing, and our experience building in a fast-evolving sport, we want to share that experience with you. We will work with you to build your skills on the track and take victory after victory.

Safeguarding
Looking after young competitors
Most of the drivers in this sport are children, so this is not a footer item for us.
David and Ashley closely follow the recommendations and guidance of Motorsport UK, especially when it comes to safeguarding, with all training completed through Motorsport UK.
Reaching us on a race weekend
If you need to raise a safeguarding concern while we are at a meeting, do not wait for an email to be read. Call 07767 758001. That phone is in the paddock with us. If it is urgent and concerns a child’s immediate safety, speak to the event’s Safeguarding Officer or the Clerk of the Course at race control first, then tell us.
Photography at meetings. Karting paddocks are full of cameras, and most of the drivers are juniors. If you would prefer your driver not to appear on this website or on our social media, tell us and we will take them out. Ask before photographing someone else’s child.
